Endocrinology deals with the study of the biosynthesis, physiological function of hormones and the diseases due to excess or deficiency of these hormones. The clinical specialty of endocrinology focuses primarily on the endocrine organs,( the organs whose primary function is hormone secretion). These organs include the pituitary,thyroid,pancreas,adrenals,ovaries and testes.
