Dr. Jitender Jakhar

Dr. Jitender Jakhar is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 11 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions in adults, children, and adolescents. He completed his MBBS from a Government Medical College, followed by an MD in Psychiatry from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, an Institute of National Importance and one of India’s premier centres for mental health education and research.

Following his postgraduate training, Dr. Jakhar completed his Senior Residency at NIMHANS and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, New Delhi, gaining extensive experience in managing complex psychiatric disorders. He believes in practising evidence-based psychiatry with a holistic, patient-centred approach, combining pharmacological treatment with psychotherapy and lifestyle-based interventions wherever appropriate. He has specialised training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and has a strong interest in the therapeutic role of Yoga in Psychiatry, offering personalised treatment plans based on each individual’s clinical and psychosocial needs.
