Dr. Alok Sarin

Dr. Alok Sarin is one of India’s most respected Psychiatrists, with over 33 years of clinical experience in adult psychiatry, psychotherapy, and mental health care. He completed his MBBS from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by MD in Psychiatry from AIIMS. A Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society (FIPS), Dr. Sarin combines extensive clinical expertise with a deep interest in medical humanities, history of medicine, and mental health advocacy.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Sarin has worked with individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, stress-related disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, and emotional difficulties associated with life transitions. His approach is patient-centred, combining evidence-based psychiatric treatment with psychotherapy, counselling, and holistic mental health care tailored to each individual’s needs.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sarin served as a Senior Fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum & Library (Teen Murti House), New Delhi, reflecting his longstanding contribution to academic scholarship and interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and the history of medicine.
