Dr. Vikram Arun Mhaskar

Dr. Vikram A. Mhaskar is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research with specialised expertise in knee and shoulder surgery. He holds an MBBS, MS in Orthopaedics and MCh in Orthopaedics (UK), and has undertaken advanced fellowship training in knee trauma, arthroscopy and replacement surgery in Sydney, Australia, as well as knee and patello-femoral surgery in Lyon, France. His clinical practice encompasses arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures, knee replacement, sports-related knee injuries, ligament and meniscus surgery, cartilage injuries and shoulder disorders.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Mhaskar has a strong academic and research focus. He has served as an Honorary Professor at the School of Physiotherapy, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research University, and has contributed extensively to orthopaedic education through textbooks, book chapters, research publications, surgical videos, teaching programmes and national and international scientific meetings. His research spans knee arthroplasty, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, multiligament knee reconstruction, cartilage injuries, osteotomies and arthroscopic surgical techniques. He has authored and co-authored several orthopaedic textbooks and numerous papers in national and international journals.
