Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Intensive care for a child is very different compared to care for an adult. From the diagnosis to the treatment, a child needs special and customised care. A child is kept under the supervision of a critical care specialist or intensivist trained in pediatric care.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

At Sitaram Bhartia, our aim is to provide an ethical care with minimalized medical intervention and hence, the Pediatrics team of SBISR follows a baby- centric approach. We provide your child standardised care so that the errors and risk factors( if any) are eliminated.
Our Pediatricians strictly follow the system of Team Huddles that includes different case meetings where the status of your child is discussed with other doctors and specialists, their input is recorded and your child gets the best treatment according to his condition.
Due respect is given to the ‘right to seek a second opinion’. In case of any confusions, you can always seek a second opinion.
We understand a child’s mental state when he is under treatment. The treatment might be minor yet the child needs support. Therefore, our team comprises of child-specific trained nurses in the pediatric department. They are specialised to deal with children keeping in mind the sensitivity and delicacy.
A child, at all times needs his mother. A mother’s presence gives hope to the child and hence, the child feels safe. Our doctors understand that and hence, they focus on minimizing the chances of separation of the baby and the mother.
